Arlington Rescue Squad
Deerfield Valley Rescue Inc. was founded in 1974 and serves the towns of Wilmington, Dover (East and West), Searsburg, Somerset and parts of Marlboro and Stratton (Approx. 144 sq. miles). Currently DVR operates at the EMT-Intermediate level with 3 ambulances responding from 2 stations, staffed by a combination of Fulltime and volunteer staff: 2 Full-time/year round employees, 1 Seasonal attendant (November to April) and approx. 25 volunteers. DVR answers approximately 600 calls for service. DVR is in the process of developing a dedicated CPR class schedule.
East Dover Fire/Rescue
Manchester Rescue Manchester Rescue Squad Inc. was founded in 1964 and serves the towns of Manchester, Dorset, East Dorset, Danby, Mt. Tabor and parts of Rupert and Winhall. Currently MRS operates at the Paramedic level with 3 ambulances, staffed by a combination of Fulltime and Volunteer staff and answers approx. 1000-1100 calls. As well as answering emergency calls to their coverage area, MRS also provides Paramedic intercepts and sponsors CPR classes the 1st Monday of each month. Mt. Snow Ski Patrol
North Adams Ambulance Service, Inc. was founded in 1977 and serves the Massachusetts towns of North Adams, Florida, Clarksburg, Monroe, and Stamford Vermont, roughly over 200 square miles. NAAS operates 3 ambulances and a Medic/Command unit with 24/7 Paramedic coverage, staffed by 40 Full and Part-time employees (10 Medics, 5 Intermediates, 25 Basics). NAAS dedicates a minimum of one Paramedic staffed ambulance 24/7, and further coverage based upon the need. NAAS fields approx. 3500 calls for service annually. NAAS also offers Paramedic intercepts, as well as EMT-B and EMT-I courses and is a Massachusetts OEMS certified training institution. NAAS was named the 2006 Berkshire County Service of the year, as well as EMS Magazine's Gold Award winner for 2006. Pownal Fire Dept.
